Irene Margaret Atteberry, 85, Huntington, IN died at Parkview Huntington Hospital at 3:25 AM on Monday May 25, 2009. Mrs. Atteberry was born November 27, 1923 in McKeesport, Pennsylvania to Chauncey and Sarah Johnson Bedworth. Her parents preceded her in death.
She married William Atteberry October 3, 1958 in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Her husband preceded her in death. Mrs. Atteberry graduated from Southside High School, Fort Wayne. She graduated from Methodist Hospital School of Nursing in 1951. Irene Margaret was a registered nurse for 35 years at Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne.
Survivors include: two sons: Kenneth Atteberry and wife Margaret, South Whitley, IN and James Atteberry and wife Brenda, Columbia City; two daughters: Carol Thomas and husband Matthew, Markle, IN and Cheryl Monteith and husband Ronald, Huntington, IN; a sister: Norma Daughtery, Atlanta, Georgia; 14 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers two sisters.
