Ira Dorsey Knott, age 92 of Newnan passed away Sunday, August 17, 2008 at Piedmont Newnan Hospital.
Mr. Knott was born in Carroll County, GA the son of the late George W. “Bud” and Lena Lynch Knott. He was employed with Bonnell and retired after 29 years.
He is survived by his wife of 72 years Ruth Turner Knott; daughter, Deloris & husband Jerry Lynch of Brooks, GA; son, Tony & wife Allison Knott of Newnan. Grandchildren; Darlene & husband Mark Marchman, Ricky & wife Pam Pilgreen, David Pilgreen, Sarah Cox, Katie Cox, Ryan Knott, Kristin Brown. Also surviving are six great grandchildren and two nieces, Mildred Coalson, Lucille Moat.
