IONA S. POSPISIL, age 94, of Alexandria, VA passed away February 22, 2018. She was born on January 24, 1924 in Clay County, Swandale, WV. She was a graduate of Clay County High School where she enjoyed attending class reunions over the many years. After graduation she moved to Arlington, VA where she started a career with the U.S. Government as a stenographer. After six years she married Henry L. Pospisil and moved to Alexandria, VA and raised two children. Iona was a member of the St. Rose of Lima Guild, St. Louis Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her brother Foster E. Spencer. Surviving are her sons Lawrence L. Pospisil of Alexandria, VA and Will Pospisil of Sarasota, FL; sisters Nancy Phillips of St. Albans, WV, Patsy Baughman of Charleston, WV; brother Nelson Spencer of Charleston, WV; grandsons: Robert and Bradley Pospisil of Sarasota, FL and numerous nieces and nephews.
