Mr. Inman Parker Burford, 77, passed away Monday, October 31, 2022 at Moses Cone Hospital. He was the son of the late Samuel Eugene and Pearl Parker Burford.

Inman was born and grew up in High Point, NC. He graduated from William Penn high School in High Point, and went on to earn his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from

the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1968. He moved to New Jersey where he was employed in insurance and by IBM. He earned his MBA in Business Administration from the

University of Pennsylvania in 1974. He then relocated back to North Carolina in 1979 where his was employed by Robert Brown Associates. He went on to become an instructor at local

Universities including; UNCG, Guilford College, Bennett College, Winston-Salem State University and NC A&T State University. He was a skilled chess player and an avid Model Railroader.

He was a member of the Carolina Model Railroaders of Greensboro, NC. He was also a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity and a member of the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer in 

Greensboro, NC. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Pearl Cornelia Burford. Those left to cherish his memory; his wife, Lula D. Burford, two daughters, Yolanda Cash of 

Greensboro, NC and Valencia Burford of Sanford, NC, one grand daughter, Shantell Wade, two grandsons, Steven Wade and Johnard Pitt and one great-grand daughter, Zandra Wade all of 

Greensboro, NC, one uncle Clyde Parker of Washington, D.C. and his faithful friend Dr. Julian Benjamin of Greensboro, NC and a host of other relatives and friends.
