Mrs. Ingrid J. Engstrom, age 89, of Orange, formerly of West Hartford, beloved wife of the late Henry W. Engstrom, passed away on Wednesday, April 1, 2009 in the Masonic Health Care Center, Wallingford.
Daughter of the late Gustave A. and Olga E. Swan Johnson, she was born on October 27, 1919 in Hartford. She served in the Women’s Army Corps during WW II and attained the rank of Sergeant.
Survivors include a devoted daughter, Cynthia E. Dodge and her husband Dallas of West Hartford, devoted son, Mark W. Engstrom and his wife Nina of Fairfield, and four grandchildren, Dallas and Michael Dodge, and Anna and Christopher Engstrom. She also leaves several nieces and nephews and wonderful friends. She was predeceased by a brother, G. Herbert Johnson.
