Ina (Hopper) Lauver, 83, of Ironwood Health & Rehabilitation Center of South Bend, Indiana, formerly of Early Road in South Bend, passed away Thursday, December 29, 2005, in the nursing home. Ina was born on April 23, 1922, in Porterville, Mississippi to John and Susie (Clark) Hopper. She retired as the manager of the Tea Room with the former Robertson’s Department Store after 23 years of service.

On June 16, 1946, Ina married David Ross Lauver who preceded her in death on February 12, 1990. Surviving is a daughter, Patricia A. Kelley of Mishawaka, Indiana; a son, David K. (Shirley) Lauver of South Bend; three grandchildren, Keith David Lauver, Craig Michael (Laura)Lauver, Janice Dickenson; two great grandchildren, Kaitlin Kelley & Zachary Dickenson; and eight brothers and sisters, Mable H. Snowden of Meridian, Mississippi, her twin, Inez H. Dial of Livingston, Alabama, Johnetta H. Buchanan of Porterville, Mississippi, Irene H. Sessums of Bailey, Mississippi, Nellie H. Simmons of Meridian, Mississippi, Hugh (Bud) Hopper of Porterville, Mississippi, Sadie H. Dial of Livingston, Alabama, and David A. Hopper of Bailey, Mississippi.

Ina was a member of the First United Methodist Church of South Bend and the Eastern Star.
