Ina (Frosig)Yost was born January 19, 1919 in Wilder, Idaho, the daughter of Mike and Nina (Boyles) Frosig. She graduated from Homedale High School and received her teaching certificate from College of Idaho. She taught in both Canyon and Owyhee county schools.

Ina was engaged to Bob Yost of Notus as he began Naval Training. On the day he graduated from Officers’ Training School in 1943 they were married and began travelling to various Naval training bases. After World War II they came to Caldwell with the intention of both teaching school. Bob instead entered the University of Idaho College of Law in Moscow. When they returned to Caldwell in 1950, Bob opened a law practice and maintained a political career. Ina became active in school activities, Girl Scouts, and Caldwell Thursday Musicale. She was a member of P.E.O., Chapter BM, and served as its president.

The family liked to travel.

Ina and Bob had been married for sixty-four years when Bob died in 2007. She was also preceeded in death by her son, Bill Yost, who died with his wife, Kathie in a tragic boating accident and by son, Dale Yost, who passed away from complications of diabetes.

Ina is survived by her sister, Charlotte Moore of Grangeville, Idaho; daughter, Connie (husband, Nick Platt) of Vancouver, Washington; her granddaughter Wendy (children, Tianna and Colton); Grandson Troy (wife, Cindy and son Henry); Grandson Todd (children, Alicia and Ben); Granddaughter, Jamie (husband, Ted Zimmerman and children Jack, Cooper and Maggie); and Grandson Tyler Yost.
