Imelda Alatorre, loving wife, sister, mother and grandmother ended her life’s journey and entered rest into God’s kingdom on September 15, 2010, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born September 7, 1937 in Penjamo, Guanajuato, Mexico to the union of Joel and Christina Rios, and had been a Ventura county resident for 37 years.
Prior to her retirement, she worked as a preschool teacher’s aid for 10 years.
Imelda is survived by her husband, Antonio Alatorre; children, Irma Cendejas, Graciela Garcia, Francisco Alatorre, Pedro Felix Alatorre, Lorenzo Alatorre, Maria Pillado, Hilda Virgen, Susana Antimo, Antonio Alatorre, Sivia Alatorre, Claudia Martinez and Diana Melgoza; 48 grandchildren and 18 great grandkids; brother, Jose Rios and sister, Luz Maria Murillo.
