Ilene M. Yerkes, 66, of Fountain Hill, died Saturday, January 3, 2015, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Fountain Hill. She was the wife of the late Evan Y. Yerkes, who died on February 28, 2014. Born in Bethlehem, she was the daughter of the late John and Lorre (Beitler) Dauernheim. Ilene worked as a sewing machine operator out of her home for over 20 years. She dearly loved her children and grandchildren. Surviving: sons Larry Yerkes of Kunkletown, Stephen Wayne Yerkes and wife Karen; daughter Lisa Marie Yerkes all of Fountain Hill; grandchildren Rylee and Kamryn; sisters Nancy Walters and husband William, Audrey Wilson and husband Dennis, Gail Miller; sister in law-Jackie Dauernheim all of Bethlehem; brothers Robert Dauernheim and wife Donna, John Dauernheim all of Allentown. She was predeceased by her brothers Dale and Merritt.
