Ilene Hamm Akers, 82, of Wallingford passed away Friday, December 28, 2012 at the home of her daughter. She was born June 5, 1930 in Mazie, KY to the late Vinson and Easter Lester.
Mrs. Akers had been a wonderful Christian lady since she was 16, and she loved to sew, quilt, and crochet. She was a founding member of the Fox Valley Community Church and worked at Randalls for 31 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Lyle Hamm and husband Clayton Akers, 1 son Proctor Hamm, and 2 brothers Idas Lester and Harmon Lester.
She is survived by Children: Patty Hamm (Lynn) Bailey, Theresa Hamm (Mike) Rice, Shirley Akers (Butch) Kearns
Wanda Akers, Sandy Akers (Woodie) Brown, Clayton Akers, Donald Akers, 14 Grandchildren, 18 Great Grandchildren, 4 Great Great Grandchildren.
Brothers: Ishmael Lester, Joe Lester, Ronald Lester, Donald Lester, Sister: Pauline Wheeler.
