Ian was a fantastic father, loving son and brother, devoted partner, and very loyal friend.
Ian Pippins was born on November 8th, 1989, to Christina Pippins in Columbus, Ohio. He departed his earthly life at the age of 33, on Monday May 15, 2023. He graduated from Groveport Madison High School and went on in life to get his carpentry certification. Ian was a very complex guy, with a multitude of interests. He always was doing something to keep himself busy. He enjoyed writing poems and was a very skilled and gifted basketball player. Ian was never the type to sit still. As he got older, he discovered his love of cooking, mainly because he loved to eat.
He truly was a one-of-a-kind spirit that touched and forever changed every life that he encountered. You could count on, if he said he would do it, it would get done. It may not be quickly, but eventually it would be done. From the moment he was born we can all say his spirit was very free, and he lived his life to the fullest, unapologetically.
One thing about Ian, his family meant the world to him. He was the most loyal and genuine person you’ll ever meet. All he ever wanted was for everyone to be together. He spread the purest love and joy all around. Anytime you saw him, you would ALWAYS see him smiling. His smile and energy were so infectious. When you were around him, you can know you are always going to laugh hard, smile big, have fun, and enjoy the moment. As spontaneous and adventurous as he was, he could wake up one day and decide to pack the kids up and take them rock climbing or something simple as to the arcade. His goal in life was, just to see them smile and spend time with them. His selfless nature made him think of ways to make someone else happy. His idea of “making it” in life wasn’t for his own happiness, but to be able to give anything he had to make the lives of those he cared for better.
During his 33 years on Earth, he touched more lives than most people do in a lifetime. We will all forever cherish his love and memories and be grateful for the time we had with him. He has left his mark in this world and touched so many lives he will never be forgotten. Let’s not shed tears on his passing, but let his passing be a reminder to everyone to live life to the fullest, don’t hold hatred in your heart, but instead spread love and remember “family is all you have”. Make sure you spend time with your loved ones whenever you can, tell them you love them, and laugh as much as possible because at the end of the day that’s what makes life worthwhile.
