Hugh M. Rush, 91, of Elkhart, passed away peacefully of natural causes at Elkhart General Hospital Saturday, July 8, 2017.
He was born, in Elkhart, May 31, 1926, to the late Jessie and Pearl (Smith) Rush.
He married Evelyn L. Redd on February 3, 1968, in Lima, Ohio. She passed in 2011.
Surviving are children Marvin Rush of Goshen, Charles Rush of Elkhart and Carolyn (James) Goddard of Elkhart, and five grandchildren.
All of Hugh’s siblings have preceded him in death.
Hugh was a self-employed mechanical engineer who worked on bucket and aerial extension trucks. He was a devout Christian and enjoyed attending several area churches.
