March 31, 2021, Hubert T. Hart stepped into glory after a lengthy illness.  Born March 8, 1942 in Pickton, Texas to Dorothey and William Hart.  Hubert was the second of five children.  Hubert graduated from Hobbs High School, served in the United States Army and Army National Guard, then settled in Hobbs, New Mexico.

Hubert, a man of faith lived his faith.  His ministry, although he did not call it that was to live his life and raise his family in a godly manner.  He did an amazing job because he taught a generation of girls softball, not only to play the game but to apply the lessons learned to life.  He taught at least three generations of kids, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews to fish.  He taught them by word and deed Christ’s love.  He instilled in each an appreciation of God’s world.  To each person he fished with he shared a tiny bit of heaven.  He will be missed.

Hubert was preceded in death by his parents, William and Dorothey Hart, his brothers James Hart and Jerry Hart, his sister Janie Sue Shu, his great granddaughter Reese Pilcher, his first wife Rita Wales and his stepson David Johnson.

He is survived by his wife Deborah Hart, his daughters Sheila Fuentes and her husband Carlos Fuentes, Michelle Pilcher, his brother Thomas Hart and his wife Linda Hart, his daughter-in-love, Sara Johnson and Robert Lamb.
