GILBERT L. “GIB” HARDESTY EATON, IN Gilbert L. “Gib” Hardesty, 89, passed away Thursday, July 23, 2009 at Muncie Health and Rehabilitation Center after an extended illness. A native of Randolph County, Indiana, he was born June 19, 1920, the son of Lee and Leddie (Jones) Hardesty and had resided in Eaton since 1962. Affectionately known as “Gib” or “Gibby”, he worked for Marsh Supermarkets as a truck driver for 25 ½ years, retiring in 1982. Gib had also worked for Marhoeffer Packing and Ag Best, Gaston.
