Howard R. Jensen, 89 of Freeport died Wednesday July 16, 2008 at his daughter’s home, Janet Jensen where he resided for the past six years.
Born July 15, 1919 in Buckeye Township, Orangeville he was the son of Soren and Adella (Reed) Jensen. He married Lois Campbell April 25, 1942, she preceded him in death in March of 1977. He then married Norma Hartman Shoup August 26, 1978 and she preceded him in death in 2002. Howard farmed in the surrounding area for many years. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Freeport, Eagles club of Freeport.
He is survived by three daughters Clara (Larry) Julius, Joyce Jensen, Janet Jensen all of Freeport; one son Leroy (Pat) Jensen of Lena; 2 Step daughters Linda (Ron) Miller of Ashton, Debra (Jayme) Linder of Freeport ; grandchildren and great grandchildren; one sister Pauline (Harold) Schultz of Brodhead, WI;
He was preceded in death by his parents, wives, six sisters, and four brothers.
