Those left to honor Howard’s memory include his wife of 63 years, Betty; two daughters, Cuba (and Jim) Patterson of Newton; and Ellona (and Doug) Van Cleave of Sorrrento, Florida; daughter-in-law, Susan Pelzer of Newton; his five grandchildren, Chris (and Heidi) Patterson of Solon, Iowa; Larry (and Amber) Pelzer of Newton; Jackie (and Jim) Parks of Omaha, Nebraska; Mel (and Alba) Van Cleave of Atlanta, Georgia; and B. J. Van Cleave of Apopka, Florida; and his ten great-grandchildren; sister, Kay Welliver of Rockford, Illinois; and his nephew, Butch Welliver of Rockford, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his parents, Larry and Cuba (Poling) Pelzer; and son, Tom in 2002.

Howard served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps during WW II.

Howard Owned/Operated and was the former CEO of Cline Tool for 55 years. He loved his work.
