Hope Lorraine Thomas was born on June 29, 1946, in Denver, Colorado to her parents, Jesse Raullerson and Laura Wofford Raullerson. She was the sixth child born in the family. She was raised surrounded by her brothers, Nathaniel, Edward and her sisters, Alma, Jessie, and Betty. Her father passed away when Hope was very young and her older siblings shared in her care while their mother worked. As a child, Hope was given the nickname, “Nosie Rosie” because she loved to tell what she heard. She loved Saturday mornings because she and her mother would go on shopping sprees. She also enjoyed listening to music, playing card games, dominoes and spending quality time with family and friends. Hope accepted the Lord as her personal savior at a very early age.
