Hope Elizabeth (Weaver) Mock, 93, passed away Saturday Sept. 27, 2014 in Franklin. She was a resident of Greenwood and Florida. Hope was born July 19,1921 in Saxton, Pennsylvania to the late Murl and Edith Pearl (Brickley) Weaver. She married Richard R. Mock on Feb. 10, 1940 in Pennsylvania; they were married for 65 years.

In the late 1930 and 1940’s Hope sang professionally with her two sisters, Lois and Bette in Pennsylvania. She was a seamstress at this time and made the outfits they wore when singing. After moving to Flint, Michigan in the 1950’s when her husband changed jobs, she decided to go to school for cosmetology. She became owner and operator of Hope’s Hair Styling. Her business grew to where she had 19 employees. Hope was very well know in the salon business. Hope also was a professional artist and had several commissioned artworks. She was a member of the Venice Presbyterian Church in Venice, Florida and the Quota Club of Flint, Michigan.

She is survived by daughter, Connie L. Rohm, her husband Barry of Greenwood, two sisters, Lois Chevalier of North Carolina and Bette (Roland) Schanpanski of Florida, two brothers, Paul Weaver of Pennsylvania and Richard (Carol) Weaver of Michigan, two grandchildren, Jennifer L Miller and Matthew N. Rohm and four great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Hope Miller, Owen Rohm, Daniel Rohm and Caroline Hope Rohm.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard R. Mock in 2005, two brothers, Gerald and Earl Weaver and two sisters, Dorothy Querry and Luetta Carls.
