Homer Allen Stevens, 97, of Boerne, Texas passed from this life on August 24, 2018.
Homer was born November 11, 1920 in Colorado Springs, Colorado to Walter and Evelyn Stevens. He was one of six children. At the age of six, he and three of his siblings were placed as wards of the state when his parents divorced. He also had two half-brothers and one half-sister. He served in the Navy during World War II. After his service in the Navy, he worked for the US Postal Service until his retirement in 1974.
Homer is survived by his son Homer Allen Stevens, Jr. and wife Stephanie; his daughter Allenda and husband W.K. Elam; his two grandchildren; and his four great-grandchildren.
Homer was preceded in death by his parents, all of his siblings, two half-siblings, his daughter Candace, and his wives Claudine, Jane, and Marie.
The family would like to express their gratitude towards Brookdale Hospice for their kindness in making Homer’s last days more comfortable.
