Holly Wayne “Butch” Bennett, 63, of Norman Street, Stonewood, passed away Wednesday, August 4, 2010 in the Louis A. Johnson VA Medical Center following an extended illness. Mr. Bennett was a Machinist with Union Carbide Corporation and a Supervisor with Bruce Allen Construction. He was also co-owner with his wife of the Shamrock Club, also known as The Rock, in Adamston. He was born in Clarksburg on May 18, 1947 a son of the late Golden Holly and Gladys V. Lamp Bennett. He is survived by his wife, Sandra Darlene Stevens Bennett, whom he married April 11, 1983; five children, Kevin Wayne Bennett, Stonewood, Holly Neil Bennett, Stonewood, Jennifer Darlene Watson, Clarksburg, Tracy Lynn White, Clarksburg, and Alan Wayne Bennett, Stonewood; 11 grandchildren; two brothers and 3 sisters, Margaret Kidder, Naples, FL, Mary Lou Coyier and her husband Gordon, Youngstown, OH, Joyce Myers, Clarksburg, Freddie Bennett and his wife Elizabeth, Sacramento, CA, and Richard Bennett and his wife Edith, Clarksburg; and several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by one infant daughter, Amy Bennett; and one brother-in-law, Arthur Kidder. Mr. Bennett was Baptist by faith. He was a member of the Roy E. Parrish Post #13 American Legion, and the Laborer’s Union #984 North View.
