Hollie Lewis Browning Jr., 85, died Saturday Oct. 24, 2015 in Greenwood. He was a resident of Franklin and formerly of Indianapolis. Hollie was born Sept. 9, 1930 in New Castle, Indiana to Hollie Sr. and Sarah (Mercer) Browning.

He was a U.S. Air Force veteran.

Hollie was employed with the United States Government at Crane Weapons Navy Center as an electrical engineer. Hollie loved to work and stay fit at different fitness centers in the area. He took pride in staying active and physically fit. After retirement from the Crane Navy Center, he work for Budget Rental Company for several years, then for Cardinal Medical Services, a medical delivery and pick up company, until retiring again, a year and half ago.He loved his family and enjoyed spending quality time with them.

He is survived by two children, Duana Lynn Ulrich of Franklin and Vickey Sue Reeves of Bloomington, three sisters, Betty Rose Browning and Janice Faye Caldwell both of Richmond and Mary Joan (Michael) Malloy of Greensfork, two brothers, Donald G. Browning of Indianapolis and Harold M.(Phyllis) Browning of Texas, four grandchildren, Ryan Shane Reeves, Jordan Blane Reeves, Stephen Tyler Ulrich and Philip Cory Ulrich and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son-in-law, Mark Duane Reeves and brother-in-law, Paul Caldwell.
