Hilda (Thibodeau) Martin, 84, of Newington, passed away on Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at her home. She was the beloved wife of Valmond J. Martin for 22 years, and the late Rosaire Guerrette. Born in Green River, Canada, daughter of Leopold and Levenie (Martin) Thibodeau, she was a Newington resident for the last 55 years and a member of Church of the Holy Spirit. She was a member of the French Club, the Women’s Auxiliary and St. Jean the Baptiste Society in New Britain. Hilda enjoyed playing cards, crocheting, needlepoint and doing puzzles. A loving and devoted mother, she leaves her two sons, Gary Guerrette and his wife Susan of Wells, ME, and Carl Guerrette and his wife Beth of Amston, and her seven grandchildren, Christopher Guerrette and his wife Amy of Wells, ME and their two daughters, Kristianna May and Aria Rylan, Thomas Guerrette and his wife Ally of Wells, ME, Emily Guerrette of Boston, MA, Anna Guerrette of Wells, ME, Jason Guerrette of Amston, Aarika Guerrette of New Britain and Kyle Martin of Naugatuck. She also leaves her two stepchildren, Jimmy Martin and his wife Pam and Lisa Martin, all of Naugatuck, her brother, O’Neil of New Brunswick, Canada, her sister, Aline Clavette of New Britain and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her siblings, Gerald, Romeo, Maurille and Conrad Thibodeau, Annette Desjardins, Corinne Bellefleur, Gertrude Soucy and Dorilda Moreau.
