Hewey C. Allred, 77, was called home by our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, July 16, 2014. He was born December 28, 1936, in Jamestown, Tennessee, to Robert Ray and Donna Mae (Clayborn) Allred.
Hewey was a veteran of the United States Army and retired from Beckett Bronze Machinery. He served the Lord through ministry and song for over 50 years throughout the Midwest. His greatest passions in life were preaching the word of God, singing with his family and he was blessed to have written many gospel songs.
He will be greatly missed by his three loving daughters, Carrie Buck, (husband, Keith), Dunreith, Ailesia Franklin, (husband, Tony), Muncie, and Cindy Bradley, Muncie; six grandchildren, Henry Long, Jr., (wife, Nicki), Chris Long, (wife, Heather), Jennifer Stigall, (husband, Josh), Whitney Gaskill, (husband, Aaron), Dustin Franklin and Michael Bradley; 12 great grandchildren (soon to be 13); two sisters, Ilene LaPeer and Mary LaPeer and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Hewey was preceded in death by his wife, Pearie E. (Brees) Allred; his son, Hewey Allred, Jr.; his son-in-law, Mike Bradley; his sister, Grace Roysden; and his brothers, Willie Norris, Fred Norris, Harley Allred and Charles Allred.
