Hettie M. Solarczyk, age 66, passed away peacefully with her family by her side, on Saturday, February 28, 2009. Born in Europe on May 8, 1942, she was the daughter of Michael Portnajmer and Jean Czaja Portnajmer. A ten year resident of Boerne, she had been a member of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church. Hettie was always surrounded by students in her work with the Judson ISD and Boerne ISD. Preceded in death by her parents, brother, Casey and sister, Lania, Mrs. Solarczyk is survived by her husband of 49 years, Mike; Sons, Ray Solarczyk and his wife, Diane and Tommy Solarczyk and his wife, Judy; Grandchildren, Travis and Katelyn; Brother, Frank Portnajmer; Sister, Stasia Bitner. The Recitation of the Rosary will be on Tuesday, March 3, at 7:00 p.m.
