Hershel Raymond Hancock

April 25, 1938 – April 17, 2015

Hershel Raymond Hancock of Sheridan, Arkansas was born April 25, 1938 at Alpine, Arkansas (Clark County), the son of the late Winfred A. and Euple Jones Hancock. He served in the United States Army Reserves from 1961-1963, with one of those years active duty at Ft. Benning, Georgia. Hershel was a member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Sheridan and was retired from International Paper Company where he worked from 1963-1974 and again from 1987-2002. From 1974-1986 he worked for Alcoa. Among his duties was teaching pipefitting fabrication at International Paper Co. and he taught a pipefitting multi-craft cross-training class at Alcoa.
