Herbert Jackson Taylor; 81, of Chattanooga; passed away Wednesday, July 29, 2009 in a local hospital. Mr. Taylor was a retired sheet metal fabricator for over fifty years. He was an avid fisherman , deer hunter and golfer. He loved modified dirt track race car driving. Preceded in death by daughter, Sherrie McKay. Surviving relatives; wife of over fifty years, Dorotha June Taylor, sons, Herbert Jackson Taylor Jr. of Chattanooga,Tn. Steve (Sandy) Taylor , Lonnie Taylor of Battle Creek, MI. daughters, Valerie Slater of Fairview, Ga. Patti (Steve) Boyd of Ooltewah, Tn. Sandra Taylor of Chattanooga, Tn. Wanda (Ray) Petch of Battle Creek, MI. brothers, Wilburn (Loretta ) Taylor of Birchwood, Tn. Carl (Annie) Taylor of Hixson, Tn. Robert (Pat) Taylor of Flintstone, Ga. Donald (Doris) Taylor of Chattanooga, Tn. Gene Taylor of Cherokee,NC. Sister, Etta Marie Grider of Rossville, Ga. Fourteen grandchildren, thirteen greatgrandchildren and several nieces and nephews and other relatives.
