Henry Robert Duell, 85, passed away peacefully in his home in Bethlehem on Saturday, September 28. He was the husband of Lois E. (Kenvin) Duell, with whom he shared over 57 years of loving marriage. Born in Tamaqua, he was the son of the late Norris T. and Loretta (Rosenstock) Duell. He graduated from Hazelton High School in 1947, and immediately enlisted in the US Army, where he served honorably for 2 years. He then served admirably in the US Navy for 4 years during the Korean Conflict, serving all over the world on the USS New Jersey. Henry was a maintenance supervisor for GATX, and then continued at many other enterprises after his retirement, including real estate and real estate investing. Like his father before him, Henry was a member of the Free and Accepted Masons, and was a 50 year member of the Hazel Lodge. Henry was also a member of Calvary Wesleyan Church. Survivors: Wife Lois; children Gary R. Duell and his wife Diane, Lynn E. Duell and her fiancé John SanFilippo, David A. Duell and his fiance Danette Martin; brother Walter G. Duell and his wife Joan; grandchildren Jessica, Ashley, and Nathan Duell, Christina (Duell) Slaybaugh and her husband Rob, Andrew and Jacob Morgan, Taylor and Kylie Martin; great-grandchildren Keira and Logan Slaybaugh. Henry was deeply loved by his family.
