It is with great sadness that we inform you that Henry Numa Azais age 79, of Manassas, Virginia passed away Sunday, January 17, 2016 in Manassas, Virginia. Henry was born on August 20, 1936 and raised in Los Angeles, California by his parents Jose Numa Azais and Desideria (Lela) Apodaca. He attended Cathedral Catholic High School, enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corp where he retired as a Master Sargent serving from 1954-1977. Henry then entered the restaurant business following in his fathers footsteps. He subsequently moved to the Washington D.C./Virginia area to pursue other ventures. He was the Chairman of the Hispanic Task Force, Prince William County, Manassas and Manassas Park 1992-1993, Commissioner of the Prince William County Human Rights Commission 1993-2002, served eight years on the Virginia State Advisory Committee for Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention. Henry is survived by his wife, Lorraine L. Langan, his former wife, Sandra Kay Barnard; three children, Dwayne Cherry and wife Pat of Gardnerville, NV, Brian H. Azais and wife Sherri of Culpeper, VA and Anthony D. Azais and girlfriend Danielle Kestner of Manassas, VA; two grandchildren, Brandi Shiffer and husband Michael and Mason B. Azais; two sisters, Mary Hellen Agbayani of Hisperia, CA and Sylvia Addis of Smyra, TN.
