Henry “Hank” Smith Age 65 of West Palm Beach (formerly of Owosso) passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2017 in West Palm Beach, Florida surrounded by his children. A memorial service will be held at 5pm Saturday, February 25, 2017 at Nelson-House Funeral Home with Pastor John Walworth. The family will receive friends from 2pm until the time of service.Hank was born December 18, 1951 in Owosso, the son of William and Ruth Smith.He graduated from Owosso High School, class of 1970 where he played baseball and was voted big nine 1st team third baseman. After high school, Hank attended Lansing Community College.Hank enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was an avid sports fan and especially loved fast pitch softball. Hanks passion for the sport helped Owosso become a fast pitch softball destination. He retired from the City of Owosso after many years of service.Hank is survived by his children Jacob Smith, Michael Smith (Tim Hanson) and Kylie Smith and their mother Pam Fitzgerald; grandchildren Sunni and Meadow Smith; mother Ruth Smith; siblings Kathy (Jim) Smith, Connie Miller (Felix Ridsdale), Mark (Lori) Smith, Lori (Jeff) Merrill; several nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends.He was predeceased by his father William Smith and brother-in-law Gary Miller.Memorial contributions are suggested to the family.
