Obituary of Henry Garrett
Mr. Garrett, a retired carpenter with International Paper Company, died Saturday, May 14, 2005 at North Monroe Hospital. He was a member of Cherry Ridge Baptist Church and served his country with the U. S. Navy in WWII on the U.S.S. Cascade. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Mr. Garrett is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Olga Blair Garrett; a brother, Wesley Garrett along with 8 other brothers and sisters.
He is survived by a daughter, Jane G. Evans & husband Huey of Bastrop; a son, Gary W. Garrett & wife Carolyn of Midwest City, OK; 6 grandchildren, Craig Evans & wife Regina of Bastrop, Brent & Blake Evans of New Roads, LA, Todd Garrett & wife Michelle of Prescott, AR, Greg Garrett of Seville, OH, Kimberly Griffith of Midwest City, OK; 6 great grandchildren, Tyler, Emily, & Katie Garrett of Prescott, AR, Lee Evans of Wesson, MS, Samantha Woods and Ashton Evans both of Bastrop; nephew, Gayle Garrett & wife Pat of Bastrop, 2 nieces, Ann Roan of Chatham, LA, and Vonita Cecil of Daingerfield, TX.
