Henry F. O’Neill, “Harry” age 86 died peacefully Monday June 7, 2010 at his residence in Burlington Township. Mr. O’Neill was born in Burlington and remained a lifelong resident. He was an army veteran of World War II, serving his country honorably in battles and campaigns in Naples, Arno, Foggia and Rome, Italy, where he was injured during combat. After the war he returned home, married his beloved Dorothy with whom he enjoyed a loving marriage of 52 years and worked as a machinist for Joseph Titone’s in Burlington for over 50 years. He enjoyed playing the lottery and trips to Atlantic City with Dorothy until her death in 2000.
He especially enjoyed spending time with his family. He will be remembered by those who knew him as a great person to be around and a funny guy with a great sense of humor. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Samaritan Hospice for all of their help during this difficult time. Husband of the late Dorothy (nee Seward), he was also predeceased by several brothers and sisters. Mr. O’Neill is survived by his daughters; Suzanne (Thomas) Long of Burlington and Barbara Jean Hyer (Richard) of Missouri, his grandchildren; Barbara Anne (Nicholas) Cerasoli, Stephanie Anne (David) Kenney, Michael David Long, Jennifer Michelle (James) Warner and Brain Hyer, his great-grandchildren; Anna Dorothy Chilton, Douglas Chilton, Cameron Dorothy Kenney, David Henry Kenney and Colin Warner. He is also survived by his sisters and brother; Ann Clark, John (Ruth) O’Neill and Theresa Lafferty as well as several nieces and nephews.
