Helen W. Swanson, 87, of Montgomery, died Monday, September 19, 2011 at The Gatehouse Hospice following a brief illness.
Helen was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church. She was an avid reader, loved birds and her daschund, Crissy.
Born October 10, 1923 in Scranton, she was the daughter of Thomas J. and Mary Corocan Walton.
Surviving are daughters, Patricia Persun of Williamsport, Kathleen Ranck and Joanne Prokop both of Montgomery and Judy Fite of Plant City, FL; sister, Margorie Howells of Scranton; twenty-one grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren and two great great grandsons and several nieces and nephews.
Helen was predeceased by a son, W. Raymond Swanson, Jr. and a daughter, Christine Swanson.
