Helen Ulrich, age 91, of Salem, died Sunday morning, December 2, 2012 at the Blossom Nursing and Rehab Center in Salem. She was born March 26, 1921 in Salem, the daughter of the late Simon and Susanna (Kautz) Adam. Helen had been a homemaker and a member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Salem for 50 years. She was a charter member of the Women’s Sewing Circle of the church, a member of the Salem Saxon Branch #18 Retirees, and a former Girl Scout and Brownies leader. Her husband, John E. Ulrich, preceded her in death in July 17, 1999. Her sisters, Kate, Sophia, Sue, Ann, Mary, Pauline and Johanna and a brother, William also preceded her in death. Survivors include two daughters, Susan Workman of Hilliard, Ohio and Lois (Jonney) Stanton of Salem; and five grandchildren, Ronney (Tina) Stanton, Jasun (Barb) Stanton, Mark (Missy) Stanton, Brady Marshall Stanton and Robin (Ken) Hill; and seven great-grandchildren, Tabitha, Nicholas, Jack, Ian, Evan, Genevieve and Jonney.
