THEOHARIS, Helen “Eleni”, Of Portage. Eleni passed away Friday afternoon, December 17, 2010 at her home with her family by her side. She was born January 26, 1939 in Pellana, Greece, the daughter of George and Amalia Varnavelias Rassias. After immigrating to the United States, Eleni grew up in Staten Island, NY.
On September 7, 1969, she was united in marriage to Fr. Theoharis Theoharis, who survives. Also surviving are their three children, George Andrew Raschelle Theoharis of Columbia, MD, Christopher Mark Roxanna Theoharis of Lenexa, KS, and Andriana Irene Robert Ingalls of Portage; four grandchildren, Lawrence Maxwell, Iris Melaina, Theoharis Donald, and Katherine Amalia; two brothers, Peter Helen Rassias of Staten Island, NY and John Joan Rassias of Edison, NJ; one sister, Tessie Peter Christopoulos of Edison, NJ; and numerous nieces and nephews.
