Helen Schmidt, 88, of Three Oaks, Michigan died Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at Jordans Life Care Center in Bridgman, Michigan.Mrs. Schmidt was born May 23, 1925 in Chicago, Illinois to Frank and Marcella Puleikis and graduated from Lucy Flower High School in Chicago. Mrs. Schmidt worked in the Deli at Schraders Supermarket in Three Oaks, from 1991 until 2001. She was a member of the Eastern Star. Mrs. Schmidt enjoyed reading, cooking, listening to music, and visiting her cottage. She was devoted to her family.
Survivors include her children, John F. “Jack” (Gwen) Schmidt, David A. (Sharon) Schmidt and Christine M. (Larry) Wiesfuss; grandchildren, John F. Schmidt, Erica Schmidt, Nicholas Schmidt, Arron Schmidt, Jason Schmidt and Casey Bloos; great grandchildren, Emma, Maya, MadaLynn, Alexis, Matthew, Cheyanne and Pattrick, her brother Joseph Puleikis, and her dear friend, Virginia Feather.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John F. Schmidt.
