Helen S. (nee Rode) Kyzima, 86, of Holiday City South section of Berkeley Twsp., NJ, died peacefully at home on Wednesday, February 8, 2017. Helen was born on October 29, 1930 in Newark, NJ. For many years the family lived in Woodbridge, NJ before moving to Berkeley Twsp., NJ 25 years ago. Helen and Walter were married for 70 years celebrating their anniversary in October 2016 before she became ill.

Helen was predeceased by her parents John H. and Helen (nee Knoth) Rode; her sister Lorraine M. Rode and her step-brother Thomas K. Sheridan. Helen worked in Customer Service for McKesson Chemical in Woodbridge, NJ. As a dedicated and reliable employee, Helen was able to advance in skills and embrace continuous learning throughout her career. She enjoyed her work life but being a loyal and loving wife and mother were at the heart of Helen’s life. In addition, Helen loved to read historic fiction, attend current movies and spend time with her family.

She and her husband happily traveled to many countries including Italy, England, Mexico, Hawaii and the Caribbean. They enjoyed many family vacations in Wildwood and Asbury Park, NJ and were known to frequent the Atlantic City casinos at the height of their popularity. Helen is survived by her loving husband Walter Kyzima, Sr; her loving daughter Karen Ann Kyzima of Middletown, NY; her only granddaughter Kelly Norcross of Queens, NY; her two grandsons, Steven and Vincent Kyzima and several nieces and nephews, including her beloved Patricia Fay.
