Helen Ruth Harris, 89, of Anderson, passed away on January 29, 2013 after an extended illness at the Saint Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital Anderson, IN. She was born on April 23, 1923 in Leech Township, Wayne County, Illinois and resided most of her life in Anderson.
She retired from General Motors. She loved to quilt, crochet and cook. Helen is survived by her daughter, Jeanne Alan Richardson of Anderson, IN, grandchildren, Aimee Jeff Cooper, Eve Malloy, great-grandchildren, Dustin Malloy, John Finley, Kyleigh Cooper, Jalen Johnson, sisters, Freda Bud Summit and Iva Bill Taylor and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin Harrison and Minnie Smothers and three brothers and two sisters.
