Helen Ruppert, 85, of Bethlehem, passed away Sunday, June 16, 2013 in her home. She was the beloved wife of Elmer C. “Charlie” Ruppert. They celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary in September of 2012. Born in Palmerton, she was the daughter of the late Theodore and Tekla (Magerka) Sayuk. Helen was a wife and mother who loved her family above all else. Survivors: in addition to her loving husband, Elmer, she leaves behind a daughter, Donna M. Reilly and her husband, Girard “Jerry” Reilly of Bath, three granddaughters, Bridget Rupp, her husband Louis and their daughter Emily; Brittany Reilly and John Emery; Michelle Ruppert, her fiancée Antontio “Tony” Hernandez and their daughter Laylah; a brother Andrew Sayuk of Palmerton; and a sister Anastasia “Nance” Suska of Kansas. Helen was preceded in death by her son, Larry C. Ruppert, who died in October of 2012. Larry is survived by his wife Paulette of Alburtis. A brother, Steve, and sisters, Olga, Mary, and Anna died earlier.
