Helen Reed (nee Jobes), On Saturday February 20, 2016, quietly passed surrounded by loved ones. Mrs. Reed was born in Bordentown and was a long-time resident of Willingboro. She resided in Columbus at her passing. She had worked for the I.R.S. in Philadelphia for 10 years and as an Administrative Assistant for the NJ State Department of Health & Human Services for 10 years. At home, Helen loved music, especially Frank Sinatra.
She was highly creative and loved all sorts of crafts. Beyond all the amazing things Helen created in her life, she could fix anything around the house and had a green thumb. She loved to play cards and other games, and in her younger years was an outstanding bowler. Most of all Helen was a strong, caring woman, who would speak her mind and loved her family deeply. Mrs. Reed is the widow of her late husband of 41 years Wally Reed and was predeceased by her companion Jake Royce.
Helen is survived by her children Glenn (Eileen), Gary (Linda), Michael (Diane), and Kim (Phyllis). She is the proud grandmother of 3 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and the sister of Jim Jobes, Jack Jobes and the late Alice, Robert, Betty Lou and Shirley. Mrs. Reed is also survived and will be sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
