She had been a Kalamazoo area resident most of her life and employed with Kalamazoo Valley Community College before retiring.
Helen attended the Simpson United Methodist Church and enjoyed bowling. She was preceded in death by her parents; and 2 brothers, Dale and David Nedervelt. Helen is survived by cousins, Dorothy Robert Matlock and Donald Nedervelt all of Kalamazoo, Duane Kay Nedervelt of Kernersville, NC, Kenneth Nedervelt of Kalamazoo, Bernard Nedervelt of Honolulu, HI, and Leonard Nedervelt of California.
