Helen Rose (Riggillo) (Raimo) Garrett, 86 years, died peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday, August 17, 2011. Beloved wife of the late Lester Garrett and first wife of the late Frank Raimo, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Born on September 2, 1924, in East Boston, MA , and formerly of Lynn, MA and New Port Richey, Fl. Helen’s legacy is her spirit and zest for life. She will be remembered for her warmth, wisdom, vivaciousness and her ability to love. She enjoyed volunteering for the AMVETS as auxiliary Chaplin of New Port Richey and also her trips to Las Vegas. She celebrated life with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and special friends. Helen enjoyed live theater, bowling, bingo, playing cards, and any social event that included family or friends. She also loved her collection of ceramic clowns. The family is wrapped in her love and the warmth of her handmade afghans. She is survived by her loving and devoted daughters, Alice Gray of NH, Diana (William) Maciak of Lynn, MA, Janet (Curtis) Kimball of Danvers, MA and sons, Michael (Barbara) Raimo of North Carolina and Frank (Judy) Raimo of Saugus, MA. She will be missed by her 16 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
