HELEN L. PINGLETON, 80, longtime Deming resident passed away, Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at her residence surrounded by loving family.

Helen was born on October 28, 1930 in Moran, Texas to Bertie Hooker and James T. Burnett. In 1950 she married Roy L. Pingleton and had three beautiful children. Throughout her career, Helen worked as a waitress in local restaurants and eventually became the restaurant manager. After retiring, Helen volunteered for five years with Meals on Wheels and assisted by providing food for our local seniors.

Helen is survived by one son, Jerry (Bert) Pingleton of Deming; one daughter, Linda (Jack) Thomas of Dexter, NM; seven grandchildren, Kari Pinglenton-Uriel, Larry (Patsy) Dunn, Crystal (Omar) Dunn, Kelly Thomas, Brian (Kristy) Thomas, Bill and Lonnie Pingleton, and seventeen great-grandchildren. Helen is preceded in death by her loving husband, Roy L. Pingleton; son, Michael Pingleton; two grandsons, Ronnie Pingleton and Gary Pingleton; three brothers, Harold, Berry and Raymond Burnett and her parents. Helen will be greatly missed.
