Helen (Longo) Martinelli, age 86, passed away peacefully at 12 midnight, Monday, December 1, 2014 at her home after a long illness. She was born October 1, 1928, in Crestline, Ohio to the late Benjamin and Rachel (D’Agostino) Longo. She was a homemaker and devoted wife for 68 years for her husband Louis whom she met while waitressing at the Y in Crestline, Ohio during WWII. They were married on April 24, 1946. She was a loving mother to her six children. All her children remember the many times she welcomed their friends into their home and cared for them as if they were her own. Many of those friends loved her as a mother too and will feel the loss of her passing. She leaves to forever cherish her memories, her husband Louis, children Teresa (George) Davis, Joseph, Jeanne, Ray (Deborah), and John Martinelli; four grandchildren, Andrew Davis, Rebecca (Victor) Brotzman, Jessica and Julia Martinelli; one great-grandson, Blake Brotzman; sisters Catherine Cross and Catherine Riggenbach; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter Joyce; half-sisters Grace Cross, Rose Chinni; step-sisters Addie Lewis, Angeline Carpinelli; half brother Andrew Longo; and step brothers, Alfred, James, and Frank Citino.
