Helen L. (Nydam) LaRose, 79, a longtime Upton resident, died Wednesday, March 25, 2009 at Milford Regional Medical Center following an extended period of failing health. She was the wife of John F. LaRose, who died in 1977.
Born in Whitinsville, May 4, 1929, a daughter of the late George E. and Goldie (Dow) Nydam, she lived in Upton for most of her life and was a 1947 graduate of Grafton High School.
Until retiring, Mrs. LaRose was employed as a financial secretary for over 15 years for the Mendon-Upton Regional School District. She was a former secretary and longtime member of the Upton Historical Society, former town census taker, a member of the Upton Senior Bowling League, the AARP, and the United Parish of Upton.
She is survived by her children, John R. LaRose and his wife Dawnette of Bellingham and Sharon A.
