Helen L. Jacobs, 87, of Pendleton, passed away on July 13, 2016 at Rawlins House Pendleton. She was born on June 18, 1929 in Indianapolis, Indiana and resided most of her life in Pendleton. Helen graduated from Indianapolis Arsenal Tech.
She was a homemaker and retired Pendleton Library clerk for Pendleton Library. She was a member of Whetstone Christian Church, Lapel Order of Eastern Star, Social Order of the Beauceant, and White Shrine. Helen is survived by her son, Roger (Becky) Jacobs of Pendleton; Daughter-in-Law, Sue Jacobs of Anderson; 3 grandsons, Rodney (Patty) Jacobs of Huntington, Ryan (Lorri) Jacobs of Anderson, and Jimmie Jacobs of Anderson; granddaughter, Eleanor (Brian) Jacobs-Summers of Anderson; 7 Great-Grandchildren, Joseph, Daniel, Gabriel, Abigail, Zachary, Paul, and Mary-Jane. She was preceded in death by mother, Muriel (Barksdale) Gibson; father, Robert H. Gibson; husband of 66 years, Jimmie Joe Jacobs; son, Paul Jacobs; brother, Robert H Gibson, Jr.; 2 sons, Kevin Lee Jacobs, and Gerald Allen Jacobs. Visitation will be held Sunday, July 17, 2016, 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm at Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, Anderson, IN.
Services will be Monday, July 18, 2016, 10:00 am at the funeral home with Rev. Steve Gettinger officiating. Cremation will take place and burial at a later date in Anderson Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Whetstone Christian Church. www.loosecares.com.
