Helen Krumm, 84, of Three Oaks, Michigan, died peacefully Sunday, August 3, 2008 at Hamilton Communities, New Carlisle, Indiana surrounded by her loving family. Helen was born January 10, 1924 in Mishawaka, Indiana, the fifth of eleven children born to Frank and Pearl (Moran) Stanage.
On November 1, 1941 she married Henry Krumm in Three Oaks. Henry preceded her in death July 7, 1989. Helen cared for her home and family, making sure to be home to greet her children each day when they returned home from school. She was a member of the First Congregational Church of Three Oaks; the Galien Woods Historical Society and the Roy Chilson American Legion Post 344 Auxiliary. Helen loved to bake, decorate for the holidays, tend to her garden, and dance the Polka.
She cherished the time spent with her family and friends. Survivors include her children, Nancy (Ray) Wrona, Three Oaks; William (Karol) Krumm of Galien, Michigan; and Katherine Whitemyer of Eau Claire, Michigan; grandchildren, Mike, Jeffery, John and Jennifer; great grandchildren, Cierra, Seth, Morgan, Devon and Khara; step grandchildren, Dena, Johnny, Robert and Emily; step great grandchild, Timothy, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and siblings, she was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Craig Whitemyer.
