Helen K. Rogers, 86, of Hobbs was born on April 12, 1921, to Eugene and Emma Kahanek in Yoakum, TX. She attended Baylor University and served in the Women’s Army Corps. On April 8, 1946, she married Glynn O. Bull Rogers. In 1947 Helen gave birth to the first of their three daughters. Together in 1968 Helen and Bull started Bull Rogers Inc. where Helen kept the books out of their garage for several years. Helen enjoyed her time as a member of Beta Sigma Phi, the Tumbleweed Grandmothers Club, the Rose Club, the Iris Association and Tiech Quilt Association.

She is survived by her beloved dog, Oscar; three daughters, Elaine Palance of Tehachapi, CA; Adela Owen and husband Michael of Cypress, TX;. Helen Marie Wallace and husband Ronnie of Hobbs, NM; a granddaughshy;ter, Rochelle Pointer and husshy;band William of Hobbs, NM; two grandsons, Elliott Owen of Cypress, TX, and Minister Shawn Rhodes and wife April of Longview, TX; five greatshy;granddaughters, Chloe Williams, Morgan Pointer, Jordan Rhodes, Kallee Rhodes and Landry Rhodes; one greatshy;grandson, Hagen Williams; one brother, Eugene Kahanek of Lake Livingston, TX; one sister, Mable Roper and husshy;band Les of San Marcos, TX; and many more family memshy;bers and friends who will miss her dearly and think of her often.

Helen was preceded in death her parents, Eugene and Emma Kahanek; a sister, Edith Durdin and husband Hayward; a sister-in-law, Yvonne Shorty’ Kahanek; a son-in-law, Jack Palance; and Glynn O. Bull Rogers.
