Helen Jean Bowen, 87, of Indianapolis, passed away on July 4, 2014. Helen was born on August 29, 1926, in Indianapolis to William and Della (Rasmussen) Melvin. On November 19, 1949, she married the late Donald Bruce Bowen. She was a member of Southeast Baptist Tabernacle.
Helen is survived by her son William “Bill” (Nancy) Bowen, Greenwood; daughters Linda (Tom) Foster, Poland and Kathy (Dennis) Black, Greenwood; brother Robert Melvin, Speedway; sister Nancy Kleinman, Lincoln, IL; 14 grandchildren; several great grandchildren and great great grandchild. She is preceded in passing by her husband, and son Bruce Bowen.
