On June 15, 1946, Helen married Ralph W. Smith who survives. Surviving with her husband of 60 years are her sisters, Mary Bodnar, Betty Kovatch, Irene Redding, and Ethel Vance all of South Bend; and a brother Joseph (Evelyn) Vance of South Bend.
