Helen (Jacunski) Biskupiak, 96, of Plainville, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 28, 2014. She was the beloved wife of the late William W. Biskupiak, Jr. for 66 years. Born in New Britain, daughter of the late Joseph and Julia (Stefanowich) Jacunski, she lived in Berlin for many years before moving to Plainville. Helen was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mercy Church, Plainville and was a member of the Catholic Daughters as well as the Ladies’ Knights of Columbus. She enjoyed sewing, and gardening but most of all, she loved being a Mom. Helen is survived by her two sons, William and his wife Joanne of Rocky Hill and Lawrence and his wife Diane of Branford; two daughters, Diane Eaton and her husband Jack of Plantsville and Dorothy Thompson and her husband Jerry of Manahawkin, NJ; eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by two brothers: John and Harry Jacunski. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, aids and support staff at Apple Rehab and The Hospital of Central Connecticut for the excellent care of our mother.
